Most business coaches come from the consulting world. They understand frameworks, funnels, and financial models. What they've never done is yell across a framed wall to a crew that's going in the wrong direction. Or manage a $3 million municipal infrastructure project for a remote First Nations community with no road access.
Eddy has done both — and everything in between.
His career covers thirty-five years of BC construction, twenty-five of them running his own company. He's managed all civil and building construction on several First Nations, and supported others with contract PM work. He's been a building inspector, estimator, project manager, Director of Public Works, CAO, and CEO — often several at once.
He holds a Business Degree from Mount Royal University with a focus on entrepreneurship. He's a BOABC Certified Building Inspector. Until recently he was still running contract projects in Metro Vancouver and all over BC — residential new builds and major renovations, commercial, municipal, and First Nations work — handling the schedules, the subs, the budgets, the client reporting, and the closeout. These days he coaches and consults full-time, and the lessons from those last jobs are still fresh.
Eddy also builds software for the industry he came from: QuantApp, AI estimating software for Canadian contractors, and TumbleTracker, maintenance software for community housing providers. His building inspection and First Nations housing work lives under Tumbleweed Inspections.

The other half of the work is for companies that have outgrown one owner doing everything. Eddy has been a management consultant since 2001, and in between he held the jobs consultants usually only advise: Director of Public Works, CAO, and twenty-five years running his own companies as the one who signed the cheques. When he looks at a company’s numbers, its operations or its management team, he’s looking at problems he has had to fix from the inside, not from a report. That’s where management consulting fits: the coach contractors start with becomes the consultant their company needs once there’s a management team.

Community Planning & Municipal Management
Ran planning and building departments for BC municipalities. Served as interim Director. Set direction on housing, capital planning, and infrastructure. Worked daily with codes, bylaws, and elected officials.
First Nations Construction Management
Managed all civil and building construction for several First Nations across BC. That covered infrastructure projects, community sewer and water systems, flood control upgrades, and community buildings in remote locations. Held the senior management roles that came with it. Supported other communities with contract PM work.
Construction Company Leadership
Founded and led multiple construction companies across BC. That meant bidding, estimating, managing subs, leading crews, handling clients, and living the full financial cycle of a trades business.
